Biography of Anni-Frid Lyngstad

Anni-Frid Lyngstad, also known as Frida, is a Swedish singer and a member of the iconic music group ABBA.

She was born on November 15, 1945, as a result of a relationship between eighteen-year-old Synni Lyngstad and Alfred Haase, a married German soldier stationed in Norway as part of the German occupation forces during World War II.

In the spring of 1947, Frida and her grandmother left Norway and moved to Sweden, settling in Torsåker near Eskilstuna.

Her mother had already moved to Sweden and worked there until she fell ill and passed away at the age of approximately 21 from kidney failure.
